FUJI NOVEL 9 Volt Super Alkaline Batteries Suck

Brand new battery right out of the pack was put into the Silver Umax.
After 3 hours of hunting down to 8.05 volts, when operating the Silver voltage drops to
7.85 volts.
Expiration date Sept 2012

It came free with the Silver so I used it, won't ever buy them that's for sure.

I use Costco batteries in a pinch. My favorite is the Energizer's (Made in the USA)

I use whatever I can get my grubby little fingers on as long as they are alkaline. There are those that will tell ya that I don't keep a detector long enough to wear out the battery .
