Frustrating morning, but it turned out OK..........:cam:

It was a little cooler and cloudy. Looks like rain.

So I drove up north of here about 32 miles to that
town there I found 2 gold rings and 2 silver rings.
Three with stones.

I found one more tot lot I haven't hunted yet and
it's in a nice part of town. Only problem was, it's
tiny.

When I got my MD out I realized I didn't have any
headphones....:ranting: I almost went home.....:sadwalk:
But I decided to buy a cheap pair at Radio Shack
for $14 and an adapter for $4.

Went back and the first thing I found was a pair of
ear buds......But that was about it. So
I went to that big tot lot next to the water slide. I
never did finish it.

I must have done a pretty good job before because
I didn't find much there either.

I decided to hit the small tot lot where I found those
4 rings.

Didn't expect to find much because I hunted it pretty
good.

But to my supprise I started finding jewelry. Before I
got through I had two 14K gold pendants and a real
nice 925 silver ring. And a silver cat pendant.
That made it all better.....:)

Thanks for looking,

Great job Tabdog, put those earbuds in your glovebox in case you forget your headphones again....

Still amazes me, that so many good items can be lost in a tot lot. It's easy digging, always being replenished, and usually confined to a small area. If only you could teach those rug rats to lose some Barbers or gold coins. Nice finds Tabdog!

Wow, how long were you hunting today? Lots of stuff!

Not nearly as long as you may think.

About two hours.

Total time in that town was two and one half hours, but I was asking

directions to Radio Shack and getting lost. Not to mention buying the

headphones. It may have been less than two hours total hunting time.

I don't waste time, but I don't really hurry. You can not hurry up your

swing. The way it's done is important, but doesn't have to be slow if

you have a Compadre.

HH,

I have recovered two gold rings and three silver rings out of there.
They were all adult rings.

The only other gold ring I ever found in a tot lot said " GIRL "on it.
It was small.

One of my best spots is where couples get overly friendly at a
bench I know about inside a tot lot, at night.

I know of two spots like that. Jewelry gets flung all around them.

HH,

yeah, great job td. on the cibola, my main machine, i took black tape and taped the headphone cord to the mast. that way i never forget my headphones, and the cord is easily removed if i want to switch machines. wtg, and hh,

TD I always have a extra cheap pair of phones in the trunk. But come to think of I only have cheap headphones anyway. I use radio shack 35 pros and the updated versions. They are Koss phones. And like Gray Ghost I velcro the cord on the stem of the detector. Thanks for reading and great collection again good to read post. Jer

Thanks guys.

I learned a painful lesson.

I am going to put two sets of cheep headphones in my car.

This is my first full summer of metal detecting in 25 years.

Back then, I never used headphones.

It got so hot I did not want to keep my metal detector or
my good headphones and pin pointer in the car.

I have to get prepared. Don't want that to happen again.

Happy Hunting and thanks for the tips,
