Frozen Tot Lot

It is cold. A little snow on the ground. I don't care.. I just want to get out for a little while.. The tot lot was not to big. A little snow in some spots. The top layer of the mulch was crusty. So it was not to bad, just cold. Got a couple dollars in clad and some junk jewelry. It felt good just to be out for a couple hours. I used my COMPADRE set on A/M. Dug everything. Hair pins ,, foil,, tabs,,, Screws,,, wire and a couple rusty things..Thanks for looking... KEN

Good for you! :clapping::please: Yeah, those wood chip totters freeze up tight! I have a few pea gravel ones that are sort of huntable depending on the snow fall and all that, bummer, but like you said, a guy HAS to get out!

Yes Ken i know what you mean , sommetimes you just got to get out . At least the tot lots are not ocupied in the bad weather. I am fortunate to be able to hunt all year

sounds like a good time to me .

Sound like a good time to me too. I like to take a small piece of ground and clean house with the Compadre set at a low discrimination setting.:detecting:

You'd be surprised at what the Compadre can find.

I have an older small park close to my home that i know has some potential but for whatever reason i get some interference there and only there . I have not touched any internal pots?

i plan to hit this park hard over the winter if possible

I love the totlots. Got a few I hit first thing every weekend. The freeze is coming soon here to but I keep at it till it is not kickable. Our dollar coins are the same colour as the chips so we are happy. :clapping: Good luck and HH!

You are lucky if your dollar coins are the same color. Kids will drop them and never know it. Than you come around and BEEP, BEEP. There it is... KEN

Yes we are lucky our $1 & $2 coins are rather large and blend well with wood chips . First time out with compadre i found one of each .

We also have an $1.00 coin. Just a tiny bit bigger than our quarter. It is gold colored. So the kids can loose them so I can find them. We need to stop making our paper dollars so we have more coins... KEN

Yep a $5 coin would be great!
