That Span is I 95 going to N.H. only about 5 miles away.[attachment 116665 DSC07148.jpg] The bridge i am taking the pictures from is known as the Essex / Merrimack with the Old Chain Bridge on the other side. There is an Island between two bridges.Beautiful spot..Normally alot of traffic flow, but a barge going up river with a huge electrical transformer on it, hit the bridge, so the span doesn't shut properly. It will be out of commission for a couple of years, while the Commonwealth of Massachusetts finds someone with brains, and money to repair it![attachment 116667 DSC07153.jpg][attachment 116668 DSC07158.jpg][attachment 116669 DSC07154.jpg][attachment 116674 DSC07155.jpg] The water is mostly Fresh, flowing into the Salt harbor in Newburyport, and out to the Atlantic.
