Frozen Ground Hunt

New member
Should have hunted in the Woods, but decided to search the River Footpath again

( Bad Move ) hard frosts over the last three nights have made the ground rock hard.

I did manage a couple more Victorian Halfpennys both dated 1861, also found a

George V1 1951 Shilling (cupro nickle ) not silver, and a disc with numbers on it.

Roll on Spring and Summer.

I often take along my framers hammer. It has nice straight claws on it so they don't break off and don't pass on the strong recoil to the wrist that a geologists hammer would when giving a mighty swing.

Yes John, could have done with one of those today.

The weather has to improve over here in the next

few days.
