Hunted in the cold and wish I could say it was worth it lol. But I did have fun and got out of the house 29 degrees and 20 mph winds makes a cold hunt in the open field. Here is all I got one no date buffalo is only coin lol

thats COLD!:yikes:

very nice finds under those conditions.

Cold is bad, but add in the wind and it really makes it bitter. It was 15 degrees here in Idaho this morning. I've pulled the batteries on my two detectors for the year. I'll just be reading what you other guys find until sometime in March. Congrats on the Buff!

Got a buffalo and relics,no skunk on that hunt! I know what you mean when hunting in open areas with that temp and windspeed! Its bitterly cold and the wind isnt always at your back.I'll hunt in it too, until the ground freezes below 2' or until I get severe video lag onscreen, usually at 20 degrees. This is winter number 4 with the Etrac and Im going out tomorrow to try my luck in 27 degree temp here in central ILL. Congrats,Good luck and hh Terry!

Yes ... it's going to be a long Winter - we're going to have to really earn every find that's made over the next several months.
It's almost time to go back to the sites in the woods where the old leafs help keep the ground from freezing.

That's great finds for cold weather! Yesterday was 20 degrees and 20 mph so forget it! I want go out :detecting: as soon as above freeze! But right now is 14 degrees and ground is frozen! Shoot! :ranting:

Yeah....think I'm about done here in Montana. Yesterday I went out and dug 5 memorials and the frost is now about 4" and it just wasn't worth it. Day before frost was about 2.5" so it's really setting in around here and the forecast is for more clear and cold.......

Have to live thru you guys still able to hunt unless things really warm up around here or I find a spot with some leaves piled up to hunt.......

good luck and nice Buffalo.....!!!!!!!!

Yeah I guess winter is here in Ohio. They're for up to 8" by Thanksgiving morning. Hope you can squeeze a few more days in!
