From the scuttlebutt on another forum it looks like there will be a new White's detector out just in time for Christmas.

And from the sounds of it, the 6 Khz line of detectors is being phased out (XLT, QXT, XL Pro and the Classics). Too bad because I have really grown to like the 5900 since I purchased one this past May. I'm thinking of trying to snag an XL Pro before they get too expensive on the secondary market.

With the MXT and the 5900 in my arsinal I like my chances where ever I go!! I have to admit that since I traded in my XLT I have not missed it very much. I liked it but I like the MXT and 5900 combo even more!! Maybe its because I'm just a knob twisty sort of person.......

From the comments about the new White's detector it appears to be in the line of the Prizms with more bells and whistles.
