I have collected a few old (1946 & 1947) newspapers through the years. They are way too large to scan, so I got my camera out and put the papaers on my desk. terrible lighting and a few shadows later, I came up with these headlines and a few ads, also some color Sunday funnies. Enjoy......NGE

now from the Sunday funnies... That's all folks.......nge

Thank you for posting these photos of the newspapers. It was interesting to read the headlines of the time right after WW2. Would you happen to have any newspapers from during WW2? It is also interesting to see the cost of the newspaper and the products for sale in the ads. HH and GL

60 pages of the 1947 Detroit news was only 5 cents. I do have some 1943 Ford union workers rags

The old ad of the radio on the last picture is lower than what one will cost you now on eBay. Thanks for posting these old news papers, interesting to view. Kelley (Texas) :)

I tried taking close ups of the lost&found ads, but they are so tiny......I will have to try again

Oh, I definately have macro, just have to have better lighting
