Normally I don't take pics of areas I hunt but I just thought this was way too cool. A few years back hunted on top of a large
hill that the landowner said had wagon ruts on it. Sure enough it had ruts in the bedrock! Only good find was a knapsack hook
but I was really intrigued by those ruts! The rock is all sandstone in the area. Hope you can see'em in the pics.

Thats a neat thing to see! Wonder if it was from a secret cavalry detail moving millions of pounds of war gold and silver? Gotta dream right? Lol

At first look I thought it might be from erosion but it carries on for hundreds of feet. Evenly spaced as well.
It would be bedrock and then a span of just soil and then pick back up in the next outcropping of rock just on
and on for at least a half mile. It also matched up w/1897 BLM map that I overlayed on Googlearth!
I just thought it was really cool and wanted to share it. Visited kin in SD once and walked along a wagon road
in soil that was still there. I think it was by the James R. Pretty crazy!

That is really cool. If you found a knapsack hook there definitely may be more.
