First of all thank you to everyone for the prayers. Some have asked for an update. His surgery was 6 1/2 hours long. They removed his right lung, 5th rib, and resected a portion of his Vena Cava. The tumor was larger then expected. I've heard either two soft balls or the size of a football. My friend is 6'8", still hard to believe it could be that big.
Given his youth, he has bounced back as good as expected. He is off the ventilator and can walk a little bit. Having challenges with his throat, vocal cords and some fluid in his left lung. This was a very serious surgery and he made it through. His long term prognosis will depend on if they removed all the cancer or if it had spread. Again, I have faith the Lord has more plans for him here. Thanks again for the prayers.
