1 hour and 15 minutes exactly. Had five 11 year old boys in tow the whole time. I told them I would love for each of them to have a turn but explained my situation and how I was trying for the 10k goal and that I would return sometime next week-end and that they could each have a turn. They insisted we dig it all even though I was in the mood to skip pop top signals and we got a bunch. I have to thank them for the nice nickel total, I guess. They had never seen on of the old style pull tabs and all wanted to keep one. I told them they were sharp and that they couldn't. They were great boys and one kid offered me the change in his pocket. I told him it didn't count and that he was a real good kid. Lots of thank yous when they left. Good hunt.

32 coins, the Edward fob, part of a bike lock. 115 coins to go. It will be tough to do in one day if it gets hot too early.

Great hunting an audience always makes it interesting. When I try and explain to the kids in the black neighborhood Im looking money they look at me like im homeless .

Not to often you have kids behave like they did for you. Looks like you may have a way with them to behave that good. I've had some experience with some of them which forced me to walk away or I would lose my cool.

Kids who have awful parents are awful kids. There is an age when kids are just good. Most of them anyway. I'd say 12 and below. Look the most misbehaved, obnoxious, out of control, 10 year old in the eye and tell him. "I'm sorry, but I can't waste my time hanging around with a rotten little monster like you. If you can act like human being, you can follow me around. If you are going to continue to act like a jerk, go find something else to do. Would you like to help me?" It works 90 percent of the time. Kids want to be good. When they become teenagers, forget it. There are too many just plain bad teenagers around. They usually aren't interested in detecting at that age anyway.
