A different style of post for me. Three sites all with playgrounds on the not so affluent side of town.

Here are the normal finds:

While Memorial Day is not until next Friday, if you find yourself at a gathering over the weekend, say a little prayer for the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. I'm really glad I found my first ever military medal so close to Memorial Day.

Chris

I'm thinking about a road trip tomorrow for a long hunt in virgin territory. Then work for a couple of extra days.

That's a nice little pendant that you found Chris.
Sometimes it not the value of the coin that you find that you find, it's just getting out and having a bit of fun.

It's a US Armed Forces Medal from before WW2 as I understand it. I think it is one of my favorite finds now. The front is in great nick but the back is a mess. I gotta figure out how to fix it up a little. It seems to be decent quality bronze. It was buried with the back in contact with a sidewalk. I thought for sure I was reading a piece of rebar and luckily I spotted it.

I have a son in law in Afghanistan and a son who is a combat medic. We say a prayer for all in harms way every day.

Thanks for the link. It had a very narrow term of reference. I can see why it would be a treasured find.
