Anyone here from around these parts willing to show your oldest coin found?
Here's mine that I found at Roeding Park on 05/01/2014.
Didn't find it with my MINELAB CTX3030 cause I didn't own one at the time but, I found it 7' deep using my White's MXT Pro and the 950 coil.
Truefully, I realy didn't even know that I had found an Indian because of all the rust builded up around the thing.
I was going to toss it at first thinking that it was a rusted washer instead I just put it in my pouch and dicided to bring
it home for a cleaning and make sure it was just junk. Glad I made the right dicision that day.

Thank you for the response "banditicey" and that truly was an old find.
How did it look when you pulled it out of the dirt and what was the depth?
There's lots of detectorest in the area but, most prefer to hunt on their own like me but, I do
on occasion get with a couple of my frends for an outing together every once in a while.
I'm a retired USAF service member and
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Happy hunting and be Safe out there.

I Could Not Locate The 1723 Coin Because We Are Going Through A Reorganization But I Did Locate a 1755 Vermont Coin I Found And Did Take Another Picture Of The Back And Front For View.

It Was Less Then A Foot Deep When Found But As You Can See It Is Really Fried And It Was Found In WNY With My ET

speaking of knifing things, and hope this thread is a show and tell

With this year being 100 years since the ANZAC'S stormed the beach at Gallipoli cove in what was a blood bath on the Turkish coast and so very sad that humans can do such things to each other I couldn't even watch the dawn service this year still even brings a tear writing this, its just sad but it was different time, I had 2 great great uncles who were killed in the great war and if anything posting this is for them.

The day came when they knew they would not make it up the hills at ANZAC cove and left under darkness thinking the Turkish Soldiers didn't know they were going but the reality is not one shot was fired as the Turkish were so glad to see them leaving they let them leave, Australia and Turkey from that date on have the utmost respect for each other that they even let the ground be called a part of Australia.

seemed quite surreal really when I realized what I had found after I got home from a night hunt near to the day of the ANZAC legend.

this would be circa 1915 charity pin sold to raise money for veterans hospitals.

so a little treasure come out to let me know the boys were ok now and at the going down of the sun we shall remember them.

the pin is a copy of the Victoria Cross of which only 100 Australians have been awarded for bravery in action, my book everyone should have gotten one!

Australia and the US have also been in many conflicts together and still are to this day.

one day we can all hope for peace but until then we all need to understand those who have seen things no man or woman should are always in our thoughts !!

sorry wasn't going to write so much but it just came out.

and so sorry if this was the wrong thing but it seemed like this was meant to go here.
