Well this is how low some of the lakes are

There should be 5 to 6 feet of water there. Hit a few this weekend. No gold or jewelry but still a fun weekend. Plenty of clad, lot's of lead an few odds and ends and a proper quota of pull tabs. Gonna hit them rings yet!

Some of the lakes where?

Even after all the rain we had last week...your lakes are still low? seemed like every thing was starting at the west coast and freight training into central Fla last week....watch out for gators...good hunt..cleaned up the lake rather well it looks like...wouldn't want to be in that boat with no plug !!!HH bob.oz

The lakes are the lowest anyone can remember. It has a lot to do with the water table being dangerously low. A problem not likely to be solved soon! A tropical storm might help but until they start building desal plants and charging people a lot more for water coupled with low rainfall years this is likely to keep happening.

So, we'll make the best of it and hunt where we can!

Sailorman,
Thanks for the location. I'm now living in AZ but used to live in Jensen Beach while working in Stuart, FL.
