Fresh water Detecting question:usaa:

Living here in land locked Nevada, all my water detecting is in fresh water. It was suggested I enable the Seawater option on my 3030. Is doing so a viable option I want to explore? Would appreciate any pros or cons utilizing the Seawater option. Big thanks to anyone who contributes any info. Happy New Year to all.

About half the time I use that option while hunting land! I am not aware of any negative effects and it does appear to quiet down the chatter sometimes.

I use it when im getting a lot of chatter or movement of the curser. There is black sand in the lakes Im hunting and I assume some of it is moving with the sand when there are waves and I think that is what is making all the chatter.. It will quite the machine down but I check with it once in a while to see if I can run without it.
