Fresh, more to the point start on what detector, for coinshooting you consider exceptional, that was made after 2006

Anything of interest, made through 2006, I have already had.
Most of us have a favorite and some of us have favorites that came out since 2006.
That's all I was looking for, was opinions on "what all" anyone thought was worth trying.
I should have been more specific. Coinshooting only.
I have a CZ-20 for water and I have an MXT and a F70 for coinshooting [no relics in my part of SW Florida that i'm aware of?
If you know of any relic spots to hunt in Charlotte or Sarasota County, by all means, PLEASE tell me!!! :clapping:
So I guess I should have said "Anything you think might be better at coinshooting than these two I have?" :detecting:

Chuck- I think your'e doing bout as good as you can for what you want to do, I picked up a Fisher F2 while back in trade, and found out it is a real good coinshooter in these Indiana parts, got good big ID numbers and 4 tones,, goes plenty deep for the coins, and just an allright detector that don't cost much, I got other detectors for other purposes, but seems your'e doin OK with what you got, and that is what Bugar thinks,=what anybody else thinks-I don't really care:twodetecting::):wiggle::twodetecting:

The Etrac , V3,MXT 300,CZ21,Prism 6,F75&T2 LTD.Overall the Etrac and V3 the most newest or latest technology used.Roll the dice my money would be on a new Etrac,As an industry we are evolving very slow I don't see a huge game changer since 2006 at this point.. Good Luck Ron

the etrac has my vote for another machine..imo..:clapping::detecting::thumbup:

I agree that there are so many different answers as there are detectorist.. I own a V3 and I have had alot of different detectors. The V3 is one machine that I can grow with and keep for many years to come without having to buy the newest in the coming years. The one main reason I stay with Whites now is there customer service is second to none. Often they will give you free things just for your trouble.
I do just fine coin shooting with mine and I can get just as deep as the next guy with great ID on the target. I imagine one day they will come out with a detector that will get down 3 or 4 feet on coins but...I dont feel like digging that far for a coin... Just do your homework on all the detectors...think about service work...and resale value. Then make your own decision.

Etrac my friend

See what I mean....But, etrack Joe, As you posted before, you are new to this and that is your first machine so....how do you know how to compare?

Yes your right, but the truth is in the tale. See there is a reason for me purchasing the Etrac its not because I liked the price I can tell you that, its not cause just any one person told me to either. Actually if you think about it there are thousands. The truth is I spent alot of time seeing what people actually dig up and post. Now all I know is that the machine is a silver magnet. And there are people that have hunted for years with all brands and makes and have not the sucess that the etrac is giving them. So what I should be saying is the truth is in the results. I did not have to pick up another detector for comparison. Thats the beauty of the world wide web.

I see...
Guess I should have bought one since there logically is no other choice...according to the web. :lmfao:

Majic, You do have to admit the E trak guys do show the results. I don't know much at all about the V3, word is it is a good machine.

I don't run either so...

Oh, I am not knocking the e track at all...Its a great machine. So are some of the Fishers and so on. I just think its impossible to say what is THE best machine out there. For me its the V3. For someone else its an E track...It all depends on the person and the type of place you hunt. There isnt a best detector for anyone in my opinion. If I gave the impression I was putting down any other detectors other than the V3..I sorry...I wasnt trying to. I just feel a person needs to consider alot of things and find whats right for them. Kinda like Chevy VS. Ford. I think both are great but I prefer one over the other. (wont say which that way I wont make anyone mad at me)

Can an e track find a dime at 14 inches? yes in the right conditions and the right person
Can a V3 find a dime at 14 inches? Yes, I have done it and so has others( Right person, right conditions)
Can a fisher...and so on..

You know that commercial "With a name like Smuckers it's gotta be good" ?
Well, with a name like Bugar, he's gotta be right!
Plus, i've known Bugar for years!
Thanks ya'all and thanks Bugar!
Now that I have all your info, i'm broke! :-( I'm down to 3 days a week of work and yesterday I spent almost $400.00 getting small cancers and pre-cancerous skin tissue cut, burned and frozen off. Today I look a bit like Freddy Kruger :-( More costs are coming, I found 2 more spots that need cutting off after I got home [of course] and I have to go back in a month. So, I won't be buying any detecting stuff again for a while! :-(
I'll be trying the Etrac and V3 someday, but it will be a ways off in the future now-unless work picks up?
Not likely to happen soon though.
Thanks again!
Chuck,Diggin'it in Florida

It's impossible to deny that the E-Trac forum has 6 or 7 times the finds posted than does the V3. Maybe the V3 users can't afford cameras :)

It sure looks like the E-Trac users are having more success.

I bet Magic would be the first to agree that looks can be deceiving...... I do have to admit that the Minelab guys sure like to brag about their finds though.

There was a time there where the only picture posted on the V3 forums in a 30 day period was a spider someone saw in their barn. Posted finds sell detectors, regardless of what we think of the tattoos on the finder.
