Frequency offset question ?.

Pat in On

New member
I was messing around with my V3 last night adjusting the frequency offset to -5 and forgot to reset it. This morning I went for a couple hour hunt and the V3 seemed to be in a real grove, it wasn

A small change Pat, I remember reading somewhere, maybe owners manual, the frequencies at the different offsets.

EMI/Mineralization are part and parcel (in being recognized as the same thing) by the circuitry. EMI just tends to be more erratic.) Whites says the use of offset has a negligable effect. The offset tends to help in most situations but a few have had a tough time with electronic dog fences and the like. So far...I have been able to wade through all EMI issues with Frequency Offset, Correlate, single frequency use, filtering, sensitivities and smaller coils. Something always seems to work.... with offset being used most frequently as the stand alone solution and least usable (for me at least) seems to be Correlate but it helped in one tough spot pretty well. Others may have additional approaches too. I have not used offset for mineralization and excited to check it out!!! Great post!

Well I just read threw page 24 of the manual and it mentions it slightly offsets the primary frequencies of the V3. So after reading this I decided to air test my new 5.3 coil with a Canadian dime, in the stock Hi-Pro mode at -5 offset it reads in at +76 VDI, at 0 offset it reads in at +73 and at -5 offset it reads in at +68 VDI. I know air tests in a lot of cases don
