Frequency cutout on headphones?

willy

New member
I've got a little problem here. My Goldstrike has a 2 tone system and no way to knock out the lower tone. Was wondering if there's something simple and cheap that would allow me to filter out the low tone after it leaves the headphone jack.. maybe something like what they use for speakers (crossover)? ..Willy.

Never heard of one, hell.. I've never played an electric guitar. What does the tone knob do and how is it hooked up? ..Willy.

Your on the right track with the capacitor. What you want to search for on the net is a high pass filter. You can calculate the values and build one shrink-tubed for a short inline jumper, external of course. This lets you use it as you need. Forget the pot, you have a volume control. Power consumption should not change.
P.S. You have chosen,..... wisely. Hot rocks suck. Iron crowns gold.
Do you have a copy of Precious Metals in the Northern Cordillera?
