what freq are you guys using for relic hunting 12 or 18??? and why
 
I use either, depending on the site. Older site with a lot of smaller iron I go for 17 due to it's higher sens to smaller and on-edge targets. If I find a site that has a small amount of iron I'll use 12.... Sometimes 8 if I feel it could hold coins.
 
8 for CW relic sites with coins and bullets and 12 for smaller buttons and lower conductors. If modern trash, small aluminum is plentiful the higher frequencies will give you lots of exercise :rofl:
