Freq. & Hunt Questions

Heres a couple more questions.

Low freq. =better depth,high freq. =better senitivity.

1) Would there be a way to make one coil to use both freq. at the same time?
Seems that would be the way to go if it could be done.

2) Has anyone hunted in Kudzu?

There is place about 3 acres down the road,1/2 is wooded and the 1/2 is a field but Kudzu has been growing there for 10-15 years. So its kind thick.
There are a couple of house foundations and I thought that might be a good place to play around. But it has vines alover the place, but the summer might be impossible to hunt.

Any ideas on how to swing or manover the coil in this stuff would be helpful.

Thanks,

You would have to use a different detector to put different freqs at once into the ground, something like a Sov or Explorer.

As far as dealing with all those vines, if the place is promising and you have the time Ive read where some people take some thing to flatten out the vines so you can swing over it and get close to the ground. Only read about it, never bothered with it myself. We have plenty of brambles here in NJ yearound and they are for sure keeping some good areas from being detected.

I have one patch of Kudzo where I live but have never hunted in it. When I moved from my hometown in Mississippi, the stuff was everywhere. It was hard to walk across a patch to go hunting so I know that it would be virtually impossible to swing a coil in it. If it was a place that had lots of promise you could try and pull it away and remove it in small spots at a time and really hammer that spot. I dont want anything to do with it, good luck and I hope you find a way to hunt it!!!!!

I got my 4 wheeler I could ride over it with.I wouldnt do the whole field, just around the foundations to see if anything might be there. It's brown now so it would be the easiest this time of year.No way I could do it in the summer,no way.
I could start in the wooded area first, the Kudzu has'nt gotten there yet.
