French Made Detector??

Not many are used in the U.S., therefore to find out more information on an English language web site, I would suggest looking on UK based forums. They are much more widely used in the UK, so they can provide more detailed information on the various models.

I thought about trying XP Goldmaxx out a few times when a used one would come up for sale.
Then I got to thinking about how much trouble it would be to get it repaired or finding coils for it, I would hate to have to ship one to Europe to get it fixed, maybe it could be repaired in the States but I didn't want to make that assumption.

They are very popular here in Europe and are nice machines. Of the three guys I have detected with this past year, all three have an XP Goldmaxx and they all do very well with finds. HH, Mike

Thanks to all who responded. Yes, having no CONUS support is a definite negative for owning any non-imported therefore non-supported metal detector. Having to ship inter-continental is not feasible. Surfing the REGTON website sparked my interest in the brand, esp after reading it was manufactured in Toulouse, France, the aeronautical and avionics capital of the EU. In this age of global trading I am surprised it is not imported here. It definitely has an edge on most US made detectors when it comes to outward appearance. Unlike most US made detectors which look like throw backs to 1950's hobby kits or something made out of sheet metal in a high school shop class, the XP series have the appearance of a serious 21st century electronic instrument and of high quality finish.

Search XP goldmaxx on You Tube or Norfolk Wolf test.

XP Goldmaxx also have the nicest wireless phones you can imagine.

The sender are pre monted on all boards so You only need the head set that comes in two designs.

And 40 hours detecting between charges....
