Very popular in the UK, the Goldmaxx Power is a cracking detector with one of the best recovery speeds around.
Its tone only so may not suit the US coin shooters, but fantastic for the relic hunting we do in the UK, especially potent on iron infested sites.
Its nickname in the UK is the "Hammie Hoover" due to its fondness for finding silver hammered coins.

One from Thursday, Henry II around AD 1185

G,day Nugget. My good mate, this guy is full on pro, tried one of those German ones on adverts in the Aussie GG&T and his verdict.
Total utter dog in mineralised ground. Could only get a 1 ounce nugget from 4 inches in the Golden Triangle. Hmm, and they say it has been tested in our tough conditions?

My young detecting friend bought one a few months ago, an XP GMAXX and he just added the larger 10.5" 27cm coil. He is doing very well with it, upgraded from a White's Prizm IV. My friend pulled two small 1750ish silver coins from one of my old fields close to where I have found some hammered coins, just 10' from where I park my car, LOL! I felt good when I pulled the only nice find from his field, an 1874 silver in nice condition. That GMAXX is a tone only machine with no pinpoint mode. HH, Mike
