FREESTYLING -COLD CALLING

New member
Only had 2 hours before the rain moved in,so decided to go cold calling on 2 homes near mine, that are in the 80 to 100 year old range.First stop, nice lady but NO, family sickness.Second stop was a yes,had to be a quick hunt, but i wanted to go slow because i was picking up a large amount of coins in the yard,I wasn't digging them,as i was looking for silver or wheats.I was there about an hour,no silver,no wheats, just rustys that were deep?Moved to the back of the home, again started to sprinkle, but i could not believe what happened, going away from the property, around a bush to get to my truck,I got a solid 90 on the vdi,may be junk?,but I'm digging.5 inches down she said, dug the plug ,turned it over and almost fell backwards. My DFX was true to me again, she didn't lie,for i was looking at what seemed to be not real.no way,I just dug a Booker T. Washington half, and a walking liberty now.A 1943 fairly worn, but yes i will take her,I think I'm in love with her,but I'm in love with all my finds. 16 silvers so far this year, and 2 halves,
I was doubting to go today, but it only takes a swing of the coil to find what may be my next greatest find,...so glad I went...thanks for looking.

Had another photo,of all the finds on the tail gate of my truck, before i left the property, but it won't let me post it.Anyway ,a key can't remember but 6 or 8 rustys, clad quarter, and clad dimes, and a brass lid to ???

Like I mentioned in the last post to the guy who found a Barber half dollar.
You better pound those spots again and again. If it was hunted before chances are slim that a Half Dollar would be missed so, there should be some more keepers around for sure.
WTG on a nice dig.
