Free Weekend

My girlfriend is in Vegas this weekend which means I get to detect without interruption! If anyone is detecting and wants a partner give me a ring. If you don't have my number send me a message and I'll give it to you.

Did ok after work today. 3 mercs 1 rosie 1 indian and 12 wheats. Also pulled 4 pieces of junk jewelry a burlington route railroad key and a whistle. Oh and one trade token for AJW Wyoming ILL. There was about 4 inches of soil 2-4 inches of gravel and the coins were underneath. Hard day digging.

Yes, you did very good, railroad keys are worth some money.

Congrats on your finds.

Andrew where do you live? Are you the one that found the Dorgan's token from Bradford? AJW doesn't ring a bell, but I'll try to ask around to see what it could be from. Any more clues?

Dave - Wyoming, IL

Yeah thats me. I live in princeville but i was hunting a spot outside of bradford. No other clues on the token besides $.15 and non transferable.

You had an excellent hunt. A little of everything and that's what's so cool about this hobby. Congrats and can't wait to see your items. HH, Nancy

One silver rosie and 3 wheats. Its safe to say that spot is as clean as its going to get until next year. The drive isnt worth the deminishing returns. Stopped to get a bite then back to yesterdays spot.

Ranging far and wide but still finding goodies. Worth the trip.

Todays total 2 rosies 1 merc 9 wheats and a lead man. Did i mention i hate those square tacs yet? I must have dug 50 of em the last two days. They ring up the same as a wheatie.

I know what you mean about those @X#= square tacks. OH I HATE THOSE SUCKERS! :ranting: Congrats on the good finds though! HH, Nancy

You all are killing me!! I'm stuck here in TX until Saturday. Mean while I'm sitting in my hotel looking at all of the silver and cool finds everyone is posting and all I have been able to find is clad. And to top it all off I have a new Etrac sitting in IL calling my name!

I hope you all feel sorry for me.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure we do. :nopity::rofl:

When you get back I can show you how to edit the programs to make a better coin program. The stock one works but it is still too restrictive in my opinion. Discriminates too much for my liking. I use Andy Sabich's coin program and while you hear a lot more trash you also hear the coins with tons of trash on or around them. I can either email you the program for you to download to your machine or just show you how to make the changes on the machine manually. I hope your first week with your machine is as exciting as mine was. I think the 3rd target I dug was a 1917 walking liberty half. Best of luck!

HAR! Nancy, you forgot to ask if he wanted a little cheese with his whine. Sorry Jeff, I couldn't resist. It looks like we will have wet soil and comfortable temps when you get home. Just right to give your new machine a workout.
