Here is a link to my freeware database program for keeping track of your finds.

I do ask for one thing. If you find an error or want something added please tell me so I can fix it.

Mike's Treasure Tracer

Version 1.0

This program is for metal detectorists. It will keep track of all the
items you find along with as much information as you wish to keep
about the item.

It will also keep track of the metal detectors you own along with
information you will need for warranty work or in case it is stolen.

It will also keep track of your hunt sites. You can store a picture
and other information. You can draw lines on the picture or add text
to the picture if you want to.

The program does no printing, that is the next step. I would like to
here from you about what information you would like printed out. If
you don't tell me what you want I can't put it in.

I have been working on this for a year as something to do for I am
also handicapped and can't work. You may use it free of any charge for
as long as you want.

I like the program from what I see of it. The problem I am having is that I cannot open up the Detector Database and the Hunt sites data base, it gives an error that it cannot open it saying a file is missing. I have installed it on 2 computers one with Win 2000 and other one with XP.
Any ideas on how I can correct it? The error message reads "Component RICHTX32.OCX or one of its dependencies not properly registered:a file is invalid or missing"
Thanks

Your the second person to report this. I am checking this out and will get back to you.

The problem is you are not running a version of windows that has that ocx installed. I have included the ocx in the install program. It should install the ocx and run corectly. I say should, because I don't use that version of windows. Download it again and try. Please let me know what happens.
