[attachment 115517 Winter030.jpg] This Eagle is mounted on the Custom House at Derby Wharf in Salem Mass.[attachment 115518 Winter029.jpg] Like Fred, i like old subjects, Nautical related, Wharfs, old ships, abandoned Coast Guard Stations, LifeSaving Stations, Lighthouse's etc. Being on the New England coast, what else? I do envy Fred though, living in the old West! He also shoots some great subjects. Too bad we didn't get interested at earlier ages! [attachment 115519 Winter003.jpg] I would of enjoyed shooting this picture, prior to the wires, telephone poles etc., polluting the view. That is a replica of the "Friendship" built by the National Park Service about twenty years? ago. Fully operational, she visits different local ports, such as Boston, Newburyport etc during festivities. I think shooting in the snow gives a bright, refreshing atmosphere...[attachment 115520 Winter011.jpg][attachment 115521 Winter021.jpg] This Bow shot is a little blurry though. Here we have Sailboats resting for the winter.Glad i don't live next door, because when the wind is howling, all you hear is the lines, and cables slapping the masts.Thought it was a neat subject to shoot. Rj[attachment 115523 Winter067.jpg] I don't use any fancy camera, yet anyway. Just used a Cybershot for these. I purchased an Sony Alpha DLSR 300 digital, but haven't tried to use it yet, too much knobs, buttons etc. Need time to "play" with it.

I doubt if you would ever run out of things to photograph. You make mention of bird pictures...do you do that too! Have you looked at the bird pictures being posted by Tom and a few other? I love to look at their bird pictures and all the different colored birds fasinate me. Ron, thanks for sharing the sea pictures...always enjoy seeing them. Kelley (Texas) :)
