give you and idea how fast they are moving. Everyone will be racing at this track Saturday for the National. The best there is will all be there. The number 16 you see there, John Dowd is a member of our club and was National Champ for many years. He is 40 years old now and still makes these guys work. He rides at our track all the time... Heck of a nice guy and willing to help anyone.

This is less than 4 minutes and you might get a kick out of it..... Expand it to full screen if you can...

Southwick MX 338

If I started early enough, I could easily make it around once by 5pm or so:thumbup:

Lot of guys used it like U-Tube because its easy to post pictures and video's on Facebook.... I'll look around on my hard drive and see what else I have....

This is a great track. The American Legion owns it and its called Post 338, hense you will see the name Motocross 338 all over.
They hold this National Race each year. It will pull in up to 50,000 spectators. We wish we had enough land and parking to handle it.
They have been at our track this week practicing for this race Saturday. We get to BS with the best riders in the world. Our track is private so they can practice with no crowds, other than our members... You can get and idea here how fast they are moving... They start off about 4 different classes here...Major log jam on the first corner.....or hole shot. Always purse money for the guy who gets there first.... Our club used to run their security but they brought in a new promotor this year. He is trying so new idea's.....My son loves this track as its fast and big long sweeping sections..... Fact my son is riding here Sunday, the day after the national...Track will be ripped up bad but still fun to ride what these guys road and see if you can do it.....

Here it is.......

Southwick National 2009

They would bunch up in some of the turns and how did they keep from running over each other. George, I just can not get over the skill of those riders and wonder why more of them do not get seriously hurt. Thanks for going the extra mile to post this video clip so that I could see it. Kelley (Texas) :)

a lot of time in practice and racing. You get used to the bike moving around under you. They do run over each other. they get hurt from time to time, but amazingly more often than not, they get back on the bike and keep riding... We have 5 ambulances at our track at a race and sometimes we have to stop if they are all gone at once. Not all from track injurys, just that we use all local volunteer ambulances from 4 towns nearby. They use it for practice for their EMT people... They get a fair amount of practice at broken arms, legs, ribs femurs, and wrist....They all where chest protectors, Helmets, gloves, boots, now most wear neck braces also....googles. It really is amazing more do not get hurt more than they do. If you ride it long enough, hard enough, your gonna get hurt. Just goes with the sport... What helps also is the dirt is soft. Most worrysome for use is another rider landing on another.. or casing a big jump. Casing will usually break your back.... We have changed out jumps to that casing a bike is less likely... Our track is more technical...I will get a video up of your track... We are a lot of jumps, where you are always setting up for the next jump and lot of corners with tigh turns....Even the pro's say our track is more technical than what they are used to on the pro circuit. Ours is a mix of outdoor motocross and indoor supercross. Indoor super cross is very high steep jumps and tigh turns or what they call studder bumps...These can bee 15 0r so in a run, 2 to 5 feet high, one after there other. That fast guys will hit them flat out and just skim the tops of them. Takes a serious set to learn how to do it right... The new bikes handle it well, the older bikes never did that well.... I'll dig up a super cross video and show you.... Hmmmmmmmmmm, let me thing, I think I have one of Bubba Stewart doing in. Black kid that can ride....Yet, he got hurt about 4 months ago, broken wrist and is just getting back on the bike....

If you can watch if full size screen, click on clip, then again to go full screen...awesome clip....

Here ya go...I found it...Watch this kid... He is making enough money, to build 3 tracks you will see in the movie, build a house next to it, all in florida...Watch him ride the jumps, whoops etc...He will lay this bike over on the side and right it....He will be at our race this weekend.. He started riding again last week at Unadilla in New York... Kid is a natural.... This clip is impressive...
