Fraim lock

Was woundering about this lock, if it has any value. It works, is made of brassand says pat dec.15-1908. My friend found it in a tobacco patch while detecting.Thanks in advance for any and all information.:minelab:

i'm sure your lock has appreciated somewhat in ten years, how much i wouldn't know
but it's a cool looking lock and display worthy reguardless of its value,nice find!
 
Nice lock and great job on cleaning it. Fraim locks were made in Lancaster, Pa and were considered some of the best of the time. They made locks for several railroads. They were used for just about everything that needed a lock. From strongboxes to jails.
