You were extremely lucky to find a Fox Den....Thanks for sharing.. Color and contrast is great. I noticed each capture was 400mm except for one capture which was 300 mm. What lens were you using on your D300? I really want to buy a 400mm or 500mm lens in the future but it will be a while before I have xtra money.

Thanks Tom - I bought the Nikon 200-400 VR this past spring. Saved all year for it , but it is a great lens and I love it. The ability to zoom from 200-400, for me makes up for it only being a f/4. But I do miss the f/2.8 of my 70-200 VR sometimes. Heres a couple more from last night. Licking his chops.

Thanks Dave... I can only hope to own that lens one day. It dose such a great job along with your D300. I once had the Bigma and sold it but now I wish I still had it. I think the next lens I will buy will be the 300 f4 afs. With that and a 1.4 and 1.7 teleconverter I should do OK.... I love macro shots and I have seen some beautiful pictures with the combo.... Not sure if you have ever seen Ronnie Gaubert's pictures or not but this man is the best I've ever seen. He is as wonderful person and has been giving me some pointers on his process in Nikon Capture NX and Photo shop. Here is his web site.

Ray has the same setup as me but he is a lot better than I am. I can only hope to get that good someday. But I'm having fun trying and thats the key..

Take care.
