Fourth gold of the year . . . South Wales.

Welsh Neil

New member
Managed to find my fourth gold ring of the year yesterday evening at a local beach. Would have been nice if it was a bit bigger and not so chavvy - but they all count!

Out of curiosity what do you all do with the rings you find? Do you sell them on, just keep them or have other jewellery made? My intention is to have all the 9cts eventually made into a set of dice for my nightly game of Trick Track (a Belgian version of backgammon). The wife is currently beating me 88 games to 79 - there a large Art Deco silver trophy for the first to reach hundred! Typical you teach a woman a new talent out of the goodness of your heart and she responds by soundly beating you at every opportunity!

Cheers
Neil

Nice finds, a lot of folks sell to a refiner when they get enuff to make it worth while..Keep an eye on the forum as it is mentioned from time to time..Geo

i got a gold george and dragon style ring off new brighton beach this week.
keep up the good work.

Very nice find Neil.

Reading between the lines, I'd say you'd be mighty proud of your wife if she won the trophy. You know, after all, you taught her and are letting her stay just ahead of you. You're a good man and know how to keep the piece.
