FOUR TOKENS IN ONE HOLE

I started out this morning with my buddy Charlie hunting an older house here in town. Just about all clad, when I got a solid hit, I dug down about 5 inches and found a local token. Rescanned the hole and grabbed another one just like the first. Anyway I ended up with four identical tokens in one hole. Maybe left for the milk or ice man.
Around noon we met up with Goes4ever and headed out to an old 1800's farmhouse. I found a lot of trash, clad, and came across this big sleigh bell with a date on it of May 15 1878. Also dug a hair beret. No old coins for me or Charlie.

Thanks for looking
Denny

Those tokens are awesome as well as the Crotal bell. Congrats, I love when I find multiple targets in one hole.

That's pretty net to find a pocket spill with four trade tokens in the hole.:clapping: That sleigh bell is pretty cool also. There has got to be some old silver at that place. I'm on my way..........Where are you. HH.

Super find on the four tokens in the same hole! Don't think I've ever heard of mutiple tokens in the same hole before. The relics you found are very nice too. Congrats on the nice finds!

Thanks All. Went to dump dirt from my bag and another token rolled out. So I ended up with 5 identical tokens

One or two identical tokens in the same hole would be awesome,
but 5 identical tokens from the same hole is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
Congratulations and same for the Crotal bell. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

Nice finds - five tokens in one hole is really something. I checked my Ohio token book and there is a M. Rider listed from Mendon, OH. I can't make out from your photo if this is the merchant listed on your token. If so, only a 2-1/2 cents version is listed so you may have an unlisted variety. From my 1905 Ohio Bradstreet business directory, there is a Moses Rider listed as a blacksmith. If this is the same guy, it's not too common having a blacksmith issue tokens. Neat finds and happy hunting!

Those Tokens are worth more than Silver Dimes and I would take them over a Dime anytime. Congrats on those Tokens! Do you know if they are any good as far as value goes? Some can be worth a chunk of change. WTG with the Sleigh Bell also. One more great item to add to the collection. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:
