Four rings today with the Excal...

Craig-PI

New member
I couldn't work today (raining) so I decided to hit a beach I haven't been to in a long time and I got 4 rings 2 being gold and the other 2 toe rings... I worked a ankle deep trough that formed recently the sand was gone and it left just the mud and stones... Before I purchased the Excal I would read about hearing a low growl when a gold ring is found.. the only thing I ever find with a low growl is aluminum lol... Gold at least to me is a midtone just below coins. I used the Excal because this paticular beach has lots of iron nails...

Nice work Craig-PI. Four rings in November is great! I just got an Excal last week and am very impressed with it. - ziphius

We had snow and ice up our way...........miserable day.

Really? It was 45 here and raining... nasty day to go detecting but I had the beach all to myself :)

Hey Craig-PI, Let's start off Great finds which is not easy in cold rain, especially if there was any wind. I have to remove my glasses when it rains, that puts a little damper on seeing the display on my Explorer SE. So back to your finds. I magnified your picture and the rings look pretty new, well in really good shape. The bottom toe ring has neat little flowers on it. But I still couldn't quite tell if there was any print on that diamond shape gold ring. Looks like a little dragon image in the middle. Just wondering. I've been sanded in up here for a good month now. Little snow today, it should melt tomorrow. Long weekend, hoping we all get out and Help Gulf Hunter find Mario's [attachment 73581 Mario.jpg] missing companion Luigi. [attachment 73583 lm_luigi-scream.jpg]
:rofl: :detecting: :crylol:

I wear glasses as well... should have worn my contacts the wedding band had to be a fresh drop this summer it was down about 3 inches blasted in my ear, the dragon is the number 23 and around the edges is jhs I'm thinking junior high school ring.. and the number being the year.

Fine lode indeed..

Quality Rings Craig.

was 80 today...can't Imagine looting below 45 Degrees...you Got Ba&&%#&...Mate

Very nice haul Craig, gold rings of the size you have there will probably signal a bit higher. The finer woman's rings do come in quite low though. It will take some reps, but that gold tone will eventually be one you recognize, but you will occationally get fooled by pull-tabs too! LOL! Excellent work mate!
