A small silver halfpenny of King Henry VIII...its only 12mm dia.

Found at a depth of 2" in a small paddock.

I use an Explorer II with the S.E.F. 12 X 15" Coil...Enjoy PaulB.

Very nice find, especially given its small size. You have a nice portrait of Henry VIII. Any idea of the mint or has the mintmark been been shaved off? Which part of the UK did you find this? Being in the US, I envy the coins and artifacts you folks in the UK find. Continued success and happy hunting!

Nice coin :beers:

Awesome !!!!!!

:surprised:

Was found near Northampton and was minted in London...very well clipped but

great detail left on those unclipped areas...thanks for kind comments PaulB.
