Found tiny oddly drilled shell.

found odd drilled shell , believe it may have been some kind of jewelry.
shell has very tiny drill holes around it, stripes going around it, and a hole in the top end.

( it was found in the location i have been finding colonial / revolutionary era buttons and other items.
the area also has civil war, slave, Spanish, English, & native American history. i was thinking possibly
native american jewelry, but it also appears that the carving resembles the stars and stripes. so second thought
was a bored civil war soldier. .... just a wild guess, any thoughts ... )

I don't know what it was made into ,but the shell is an Olive shell . Find where Olive shells come from may help you ID it.

we call this things "trench art" every king of "jewerly" made by soldiers during war with old sheels cartrigdes etc..
