I have spent a bit of time back in the swamps and they are everywhere you look. Some are huge! I would be darned careful where I swam. My cousin has had many of them in his boatwell!

at a county lake east of here,but i believe they were moved from southeast texas to here.that choke canyon lake looks like it would be a good place for some.
 
to Destin a few weeks back, making the drive from Crestview to Destin at night time, I am not kidding, we saw about 30 deer, from fawns to bucks, all beside the highway! It was really getting kind of dangerous, because they had no fear of the vehicles.
