Found this in the back yard. Any ideas?

Hello all. New to the site and metal detecting and just wanted to say i'm looking forward to all the tips and techniques of all the pro's here! I been learning to use my new (used whites idx pro) metal detector in the back yard and found this item. Appears to be some sort of brass tag. I'm guessing an old luggage tag? It has 813 and NASSAU stamped into it. There is an old train station in the area (Poughkeepsie, NY) and my guess is that it is a train luggage tag??? Any ideas?
