as you can see this coin is very wore down looks to be a huge penny but it has nothing on back that i can see there use to be something but not now .i found this today out in my lake bed, hoping its something cool. it has smooth sides about the size of a half dollar bronze colored. any help would be greatly appreciated. you cant see it in the pic but dudes go tee sticks out kinda far lol an on the back i can almost see a silhouette of a knight maybe ?

I think it is a British Penny from around the early 1900 as it looks like it.

Yup, its a Napolean, but that Makes no difference, it is a neat find

Keep digging and good luck

CTX will be here Wednesday.

I dug this one a year or two back, never did clean it very much. I think its the same coin as yours, 1861 Napoleon III ( "A" on back is the mintmark) Value?? don't have a clue.

I said it was an 1854 and dont know why I gave it that date. At least it was the right coin. Wish I had found it.

The coin in the bottom photo is a 5 centimes (it's marked under the eagle 'cinq centimes') Napoleon III,the mintmark 'A' is Paris.
The original photo of the worn coin is probably a 10 centimes, also Napoleon III,circa 1850's.
For reference a 10 centimes measures 30mm,and a 5 centimes 25mm,they're both bronze.
20 and 50 centimes are both silver,as are 1 franc and 5 francs, then it gets interesting 'cos they're Gold!!!

well a train did run through here i have found tons of skeleton keys an railroad spikes but it was an island until the 1900's so im confused on how this stuff got here. unless indians got it trading to folks an boated it over here they were the timicauna's so ive been told.i really need to do some history apparently.
