Found these today at old country church

It was drizzling all day today and I was kind of bummed. I decided to head out into the drizzle and visit my dad's church. The church was built in the late 1800's and was rebuilt in the early 1900's. The property is still old and I had found a few coins, including silver, here before. I wrapped up the display with clear plastic sandwich bags as well as the housing and began. My first hit, and this has never happened before, was the silver half dollar you see in the center. It was the start of a great day. I also uncovered a 1904 V nickel, 1902 Indian head penny, 1917 Silver dime, a buffalo head nickel and several wheat pennies. I was very happy with the day's work and plan to search the spot again when the chance presents itself.

Nice finds from that location.

You don't think you had a little divine guidance do you?.............

Congratulations

Great haul, thanks for sharing!

Very nice! Just shows everyone there are still some places that have not been
detected.....until now of course. Hope you find more. Bet theres still more at that
church.

Hi Whitelord, BIG congratulations on the finds. You've got quite an array of coins and it's great to see them. Hey, you wouldn't happen to need any help detecting the churchyard, would you? Just kidding. You've got yourself a nice place to detect and it will keep you busy for quite some time. Even after the winter freeze, go back and detect it more. WOW! And again.......welcome to the MXT Forum and you sure came in with a big BANG! :wiggle: Love ALL those coins! HH, Nancy

Been a l-o-n-g time since I sought out any old churches to work...Always did well...And very little competition. Had a coupla country preachers watch me from afar & ultimately stop by to tell me how much they appreciated my cleaning their grounds & filling my holes. I always keep recovered junk & glass in a pouch for their approval!

Good Job on the Half-Dollar! They're getting scarce.
