It was drizzling all day today and I was kind of bummed. I decided to head out into the drizzle and visit my dad's church. The church was built in the late 1800's and was rebuilt in the early 1900's. The property is still old and I had found a few coins, including silver, here before. I wrapped up the display with clear plastic sandwich bags as well as the housing and began. My first hit, and this has never happened before, was the silver half dollar you see in the center. It was the start of a great day. I also uncovered a 1904 V nickel, 1902 Indian head penny, 1917 Silver dime, a buffalo head nickel and several wheat pennies. I was very happy with the day's work and plan to search the spot again when the chance presents itself.
