Found the old school foundation.

Went to the private property of a friend of mine this weekend where the old house is, the same one Brian and I went to a few weeks ago. I helped him spread about 2 tons of gravel Saturday on the driveway.

We had to blaze a trail to get back to it. It was located about 100 yards from the road and was overgrown real bad. I found an old rusty padlock that said Rustless on it and a some old car parts. No coins.

They had cleared a lot of brush from behind the house opening up more space to search and I found a brass lipstick tube with "Indelible Cream" stamped on it. But again, no coins. The house was built before the Cival War and I was hoping for at least one coin with all the new space to search. I also found what looked like the back to a cheap locket, a modern bullet, and 30-06 shell casing. I also found plenty of pull tabs, aluminum cans and sardine cans. Junk, junk and more junk.

Had a great time though and will going back again a few times before it gets too cold.

I know it's not much, I'm just bored and thought I would play a little. The nail I retrieved came from a board that had fallen off the house. My friends cousin-in-law, a descendant of Daniel Boone, said the nails were hand forged. We may go back this weekend, there is an old road I want to hunt also. I need to check it out before hunting season opens.

This is the old house.
