Found the golden key to Davey Jones' Locker

After 2 hours of pulling up clad I finally hit this golden key. (4" long and heavy)

At first I thought it was a gold crucifix it was so covered in limestone but a closer look made it apparent that it was some kind of gold plated key with a ships wheel for a handle.
Until this sand clears I'm going to be shut out of the locker it seems.
