Found Something Good to Secure Coil Wire

Found this stuff at an Ace Hardware Store. It is Silicone Tape.
It is self fusing.
I wrapped my coil wire (leaving a little slack) up the bottom shaft. I break mine down when not in use.
This stuff creates a water tight seal and will leave no sticky residue.
Now the water tight seal is is not important for the coil wire, but I also used it to wrap the Alkaline battery pod seal.
I also have a little rig set up to have a loop in the wire before it goes into the Excal. According to Clive's book. I used this tape instead of a cable tie there also.
I hip mount and bringing the coil wire straight up the shaft gives me extra wire. Besides this tape is whole bunch more secure than Velcro ties.
Each roll is 10 ft and I feel safe in saying you can do your Excal twice with it.
4.99 a roll. There is other tape like this out there, but this is the cheapest I found.

PM me if you want the link.

I use a thin strip of neoprene and tie it. can reuse it as many times as you like :)

I tried a similar tape from 3M, it disintegrated in 2 outings, i also tried the leftover on my scoop as an extra grip, that didn't last long either

man i just saw a web site that had various length rubber snap ties?now i cant find it i will keep looking and get back to you.
