The batterie meter dropped one bar from full after 30 hours of detecting. I thought it will always stay on full . When the alkalines are dead i put in rechargeables anyway :super: .

when you turn it back on tomorrow, it'll be back on "full" again. At least for awhile longer. Mine has done this several times after a long day hunt.

I had about 24 to 30 hours on it when I took it to DIV. Three days there about 10 hours a day of detecting time. On the second day it went down one bar around noon so I shut it off when I took a lunch break. It was full again after lunch and the same thing happened the next day. When I got back home, it was still showing full and I've put two 4 hour hunts on it around here since that and the thing is still showing full! These are still the original alkalines I put in! My long winded point is I don't have an answer to your question.... yet! :)

That's why I was saying up to 40 hours initially, & nobody believed it as they were so concerned about the backlight glow thats always there...
