Went to a few sites this cold November day and got an 1845 LC and the 3-cobra button, then went to a pounded field. This field was suspected to have been a muster field in the 1800's. I got a King Philip "cross" 2 reales and a nice 1803 Draped Bust LC and a few buttons. The coins really surprised me because a friend and I have hammered this place so many times. It was like hunting it for the first time. I have got one other cross reale from this field and a Carolus reale came from there this summer. Maybe it was the temp or maybe I had the machine tuned just right. I did an auto GB, ran sense at 26, 10.5 DD coil. Whatever the reason, it sure as heck was fun. Ron

That 03 is a Beauty!!! But you better get to digging, as winter is just around the corner. Our temps here dropped to 18 degrees the night before last. It got to 50 today. But every time I go hunting this time of year I wonder if it will be my last trip until Spring????? HH Randy
