Wow I am worn out. Myself and a friend hunted the top of a mountain today . We did not find a whole lot there ,I found a nice button and a buckle of some kind and my friend found a couple of things and a US dog tag. The dog tag is cool but I don't think it is from the war . There is no date on it. After about 3O'Clock I went and got some food and hit an area of woods .I found a few 50 cal shells and a 1940 5 phenning .I came out to my car and a bunch of elderly people wanted to see what I was doing. No one spoke English so one woman called her daughter over and she spoke very well. They were all very nice and amazed that there was a machine that could find coins. I had three common coins that I gave to them and some 50 cal shells. One lady said that she remembered bullets from aircraft comming through her house when she was young. One of the older gentlemen saw a swastika on one of the coins and said that he did not want it so someone else got it. They were very nice and greatfull for the gifts. I was happy that they did not give me a hard time. I hunted in another spot for an hour or so and by that time it was pushing 5 PM so I got back in my car and started heading home. I had a lot of stuff in my bag but I wanted to hunt for another thirty minutes or so . I saw a field on the way home and started hunting. After an hour or so I was heading back and I got a signal .So far in the field I had found two common coins ,two musket balls three 50cal heads and a small flat button. Not to bad for a last minute stop . As I turned over the soil I saw a coin. I could Tell it was a little bigger then the common ones that I dig a lot of.I looked at the coin and got real happy!!1767 1/4 Stuber! The nice thing about it is it is in nice shape. Well, that made me want to find it's brother so I started to swing till it was dark. This is how lucky I am, On my last signal I dug what I think may be a French coin from 1698!!!! I have never found a 1600s coin and probably will not find another one. The funny thing is I have hunted in this area before and never found any coins before the late 1800s. I guess today was just my lucky day. As I have said before ,I will sure miss hunting over here. Hope all is well and HH.
