Here are some of my finds from the last few weeks.
These coins - tokens and relics were found at few different old houses, on a vacant lot and at an old town park.
The 1838 Canadian Half Penny Token was found on a vacant lot where an old house once stood. I was told that the house burned down before World War 2.
This coin came in as a FE (12) - CO (42-44) - thought it was a Large Cent till I washed the dirt off ... doubt I'll ever find another one like it here in Ohio !
From what I've read, there were many different variations of the Half Cent and One Cent pieces in circulation prior to the opening of Canada's Mint in 1858.
I've also posted a photo of a similar token that I found on the internet.
The "Robert's Sweet Shop" Token is made of aluminum - I'm still trying to date this piece - probably from the late 1800's - early 1900's.
The Ford Model T- ignition key has the # 58 stamped on the back. I found another Model - T key last Spring - that one has the #52 on it.
Model - T ignition keys were all stamped with numbers ranging from 51 to 74 - looks like there were (24) vaiations of these keys in all.
Ford produced the Model T's from 1919 to 1927.
