Found Some Nice Old Coins

E-Trac-Ohio

Well-known member
These coins, relics and jewelry were found at a few different 1800's homes over the last few weeks

I could read the date on the 1830 Large Cent as soon as it came out of the ground.
No ... I didn't hit it with my digger ... the 1943 Walking Liberty Half was already scratched before I dug it.
I've found plenty of "Holed" coins in the past - ( mainly Large Cents ) but the 1865 shown here is the first holed, Indian Cent I've ever dug.
Needed the 1945-D Silver and the 1954-D Nickel's for my coin folder collection.
The Ring is gold plated Silver.
The 1800's Flat Button is backstamped - " Standard Colour".

Good Hunting !

Nice bunch of silver coins! Great looking Large Cent! Congrats! HH

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Ever since I found my beautiful almost mint walking half dollar a couple years ago and it was 1943, I've noticed just more 80% that have been found by others have also been 1943, its almost like that's the only date lost.

Very nice finds Mark! You've done well. I really like the way you take the time to organize. Makes it a lot easier and is a good way to keep track as well. Thanks for the pictures.
