Found Some More Old Coins & Relics

E-Trac-Ohio

Well-known member
I've only had enough free time to get out for a half dozen one or two hour hunts over the last few weeks.
These coins and relics were found at a few different old houses, a park and at an old abandoned church.

What are the odds on this one ...
Last Saturday I hunted around an old abandoned church that's more than 30 miles from where I live - only got one good hit - a 1917 Mercury Dime that was 7" or 8" down.
The next day - Sunday, I did a little half hour hunt in the backyard of an old abandoned house that's only 2 miles from where I live - only got one good hit - another 1917 Mercury Dime.

The old key was made by the Wise Lock Company of Cleveland, Ohio. The back is stamped - "Concentric Tube Lock".
Tube locks were commonly used on Bicycles. Internet research tells me that this key was manufactured in the 1930's.

The silver piece with the woman playing golf on it is a mystery find - not sure what it is ?

The President Zachary Taylor collector coin is newer and is made of brass.
From what I've been told - this coin is part of presidential set that Readers Digest gave to their subscribers.
Anyone know how old this coin is ?

HH to all ! --- Mark

Awesome!!:super:

Congratulations on the finds Mark! Thanks for the pictures. You don't suppose the gal playing golf is Babe Didrickson Zaharias??? The one in Tony's (Bell-Two) post, do you? Wouldn't that be very much a coincidence!!!!
