Found some goodies...

I finally got out again for a 2-1/2 hour hunt. I hit a private residence. The owner was very nice When I showed him the finds, he said he didn't want any of it. I only covered 3/4 of the front yard before I ran out of time. Here are the goodies. I also dug nine wheat backs, a silver/"pearl" kids ring, a pair of suspender buckles, two flat buttons and best of all not one modern coin! It was a fun hunt in perfect weather.
Take care and HH - BF

They cleaned up nicely also. I would love to find another 2-Cent Piece but the odds are pretty slim around here. That's one good thing about this hobby, you just never know what you may uncover next. Better check the Merc to see if it is the 2 over 1 variety and check that Indian Head also to see if the last 8 is over a 7. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH.

NEAT FINDS, congrats! How deep was the 1869? I'd love to find ANY 2 cent piece, they were a relatively short lived series of coins. Were you using your S.R. 8" coil? Great finds buddy, Del

Looking Good.... So that what a two cent piece looks like, course I haven't seem one of those Indian Head coins either.

Nice going Big Fang Coin Biter !
You've got a good deal going there !!!:detecting:

The two cent was probably one of the shallowest finds of the day at 4-5". It sounded like a clad cent at 1-2", really banged in there. Glad I checked it out.

I dug one wheat cent down around 8" - thought it was going to be something older. You just never know until you dig it up! What fun!

Anyone know what that Asian looking coin is? What country is it from, and what date range? I have something similar and wasn't able to find a match to it.

Here are some that I got as a gift one year. Note the date ranges above coins. I did not look this one up yet. They are usually very old but common. I guess they are still in circulation over there.
