Went on a geology field trip which included stops from Thacher Park to the Catskills. Picked up some great fossils, which I'll post when I get my camera back. i got some looks when I brought a 3.5 ftx1ft section of slate with brachiopods that looked like flying birds, on the bus, but everyone thought it was cool. I don't know weather to frame it or put it by the garden. i also did some scouting. We hit 2 old mill sites, a waterfall with names and dates on the rocks dating to early 1900's, and also a cave, with a cellar hole close by. Wish i had a detector at the time
