Found old dagger

Vincent

New member
Found this old dagger in the mid 60's in Pennsylvania. Any ideas of the origin or possibly date?

Thanks for the help

Very nice find :beers:

Very interesting piece of forge work. Too bad there weren't some marks to try and figure out the maker!

Maybe something to do with a Lodge ceremony. Like the Freemasons, or any of hundreds of fraternal orginizations. Really cool looking.

I collect damascus blades, if yours is that type get it appraised, it could be worth a LOT of money.

Thanks for all the comments. It is actually my brothers piece he just knows I'm into metal detecting old site and gold dredging so I posted the question for him looking for information. It would be very nice to know what it is and where it came from. It has always been a favorite piece in the collection.
